Tenant Improvement Sales Executive

City Wide Maintenance of Kansas City is actively searching for an experienced Tenant Improvement Sales Executive to join the Complete Building Solutions division of City Wide. City Wide has more than 50 years’ experience managing 20+ building maintenance solutions and is also one of Kansas City’s fastest growing companies for the last 10 consecutive years.

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities with businesses and property management companies for tenant improvement, tenant finish, and other construction projects. In addition to selling to new clients, this person will also build relationships with our Facility Services Managers (Account Managers) to uncover construction opportunities within our existing janitorial book of business.

 

         Primary Position Responsibilities:

  • In the first 3 months, start to develop a recurring book of business and a highly closable pipeline by utilizing warm leads, referrals, and relationships inside and outside of City Wide.
  • The ongoing pipeline should calculate to roughly 4 times the positions monthly sales goals, to account for slower sales cycle and slower projects, to ensure this position achieves annual goals.
  • Ensure project and monthly gross margin goals are achieved by providing accurate quotes and the appropriate independent contractors.
  • Creating job schedules for the independent contractors and the Director of Sales and Operations.
  • Ensure invoices are sent, independent contractors invoices are received, and independent contractors are paid.

 

        Ideal Candidate

  • Prior experience as a general contractor is a plus.
  • Experience bringing in new clients by tapping into professional networks, and prospecting. 
  • Experience in building positive relationships with independent contractors in a variety of specialties.
  • Proven success in growing a construction organizations revenues by building a book of business and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Construction estimating and pricing negotiations experience.
  • Hands-on construction management experience to understand the intricacies of projects and what's required. 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
  • General Contractor certification highly preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of successful sales, project management experience in the construction industry.
